Supporting Unpaid Carers in the City of London
Imago are delivering the Carers Support Service in the City of London, supporting unpaid adult carers and young adult carers aged 16+ living in the City (also known as the Square Mile).
Drop in Sessions
We run weekly drop in sessions where you will be able to access face-to-face support:
- Mondays 2.00pm – 5.00pm at the Portsoken Community Centre, 20 Little Somerset St, London, E1 8AH
- Fridays 10.00am – 1.00pm at the Ralph Perring Centre, Fann St, Golden Lane Estate, London, EC1Y 0RN
Are you a Carer?
Anyone can be an unpaid carer, and we know that every caring experience is unique. If you provide practical and emotional support to a family member or friend, due to illness, age, disability, a mental health condition or substance misuse issue, we are here to help and support you.
How we can support you:
- Information, advice and guidance throughout your Carer journey
- Support to access specific advice on finance, debt, grants and benefits
- Carers newsletters
- Contingency planning and crisis support arrangements
- Weekly drop in sessions
- Regular carer groups and a range of activities both online and in person to support health and wellbeing with choice and flexibility to attend
- Access to free training sessions, such as Caring with Confidence programme
- Support and guidance regarding statutory Carer’s Assessments
- Individual, tailored support plans
- Emotional and practical support via in person visits in your own home or another local place

Referrals to the service can be made via GP Practices, Health Services, Voluntary Sector, or Social Care Professionals. You can self-refer by completing this form (download here) and emailing a copy to carers@imago.community.
