Our senior leadership team have extensive experience, with specialist areas of expertise. They are responsible for our strategic direction, delivery and long-term sustainability. The leadership team are supported by our wider dedicated and skilled staff team.

Chief Executive

Caroline began her career in HR, having studied for a postgraduate diploma at the University of Calgary. After a brief spell in California, she returned to England and worked for a major property and financial services company, and subsequently for a leading firm of city lawyers as Director of HR.

Caroline has a Masters Degree from the University of Leicester, where her research considered the impact of private sector management practices on VCOs. Before creating Imago over twenty years ago, she spent 12 years as a freelance management consultant.

Deputy Chief Executive

Liz joined Imago in 2008 seeking an opportunity to make a difference to the lives of local people after 15 years of working in the City in finance management.

During her time here, Liz has specialised in project management and developing teams, demonstrating leadership and a passion to get the best out of people.

Liz has planned and implemented organisational change as Imago has expanded its geography, services, and people, promoting a compassionate and inclusive work culture. As deputy CEO, Liz continues to draw on her experience and knowledge of the voluntary sector to support the strategic growth of the organisation.

Director of Adult Services

Maggie has over 25 years of experience leading high-performing teams and fostering organisational growth in the health and social care sectors.

She joined Imago in 2019 following the successful merger of Carers Support Ashford with Imago. Maggie has an established history of delivering innovative solutions, optimising operations, and achieving ambitious objectives.

Her expertise includes contract management, notably overseeing a pan-London contract at senior levels and undertaking secondments for transformation management in both the private and voluntary sectors.   


Imago LogoAngela Holland

Director of Children & Young People’s Services

Angela began her career in overseas logistics and primary health care for an NGO. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Lancaster and a Post Graduate degree from Leicester University in Training and Development.

Angela is responsible for all aspects of Imago’s children and young people’s services in relationship development, partnership working, co-production, monitoring, quality assurance and facilitating the work of the whole staff team. She has been Imago’s Safeguarding Lead for over 10 years.

Director of Health & Wellbeing Services

Steve has worked his whole career in community health and care for the NHS and social enterprises. Steve is passionate about holistic and early intervention care, supporting people before the need for clinical interventions.

He oversees the Health and Wellbeing directorate at Imago, which includes social prescribing, our hub team and City of London carers support service.

Director of Finance

Lynn started her career in one of the big four banks, then moved to Post Office management. After having a family, she decided she wanted to focus on accountancy due to her love of numbers.

Once qualified, she decided that charity accounting was for her and has spent the last 20 years working in the charity sector. Lynn recently celebrated 10 years at Imago.

Director of Development

Louise joined the Imago team in 2023, bringing over 20 years' experience in the arts and charity sectors in London and Kent.

She is passionate about working for organisations that positively impact people and communities.

Louise oversees a team focused on income generation and external engagement, with key responsibilities in business development, fundraising, marketing, communications, and charity support.

Head of Service

Sam has worked in the Charity Sector since 1998, initially working with Adults with Learning Disabilities before joining Imago in 2015 as a Navigator.

She has been involved in the development of new services, including running a pilot within a GP Practice in 2015 which later formed the model for our Social Prescribing service.

She is currently overseeing a number of projects within the Health and Wellbeing service and Children and Young People services.

Head of Service

Ruth began her career in sales and customer service, before moving into the charitable sector in 2014. She joined Imago in 2018 as a social prescriber and has worked across a variety of services, including carers support and navigation.

Ruth is currently a Head of Service, supporting adult services across Kent, Medway and London.

Head of Partnerships & Corporate Development

Wendy links Imago with new and existing business and voluntary sector partners and oversees our infrastructure support and Volunteer Centre.

She has previously worked in Imago’s Children and Young People, Social Prescribing and London teams and has a background in charity support and fundraising.

Head of Human Resources

Sharon has supported people and communities in a range of education and social care settings throughout her career.

She joined Imago as a volunteer in 2011 has since worked in and managed a variety of services, leading the Human Resources team since 2020.

She has responsibility for people management activities and support across the organisation and has a particular interest in equality and diversity. Sharon has a bachelor’s degree from the Open University and is currently studying for a CIPD qualification.
