
The KCC Travel Saver and KCC 16+ Travel Saver are bus passes provided by Kent County Council.
These are for children and young people living in Kent and help reduce the cost of travel to and from school. Registered young carers can apply for this pass from KCC at no cost.
You can apply for the free Travel Saver directly through the KCC website. If this is your first time applying you will need to register for an account. If you are renewing a pass, you will just need to confirm your details.

Young carers in school years 7-11 or home educated, living in Kent, who are registered with our service.
There is also a Travel Saver available for young people aged 16-19 years.
The KCC Travel Saver can only be used on bus services only.
If your child uses a private bus or coach company to get to and from school, you will need to contact the company directly to check if this pass can be used. You can read more about using you pass on the KCC Website.
You can use the pass to travel to counties bordering Kent if the journey starts or ends in Kent. It cannot be used on London buses.
Yes, the pass is not just for school transport and can be used at most times of day (this may be at the discretion of the bus service and can vary, including at weekends and holidays, but please check).
No, the pass will not show that the child is a young carer. This is the same pass that is available to all young people.
Yes, please follow the instructions on the KCC website.
The pass will be delivered to the young carer's school reception for collection. If they are home educated, it will arrive at their home address.
Yes, replacement cards can be ordered for £10 direct through KCC’s website via your online account.
