On Sunday 2nd October 2022 three dedicated individuals, all who work/worked for Imago, took on the epic Virtual London Marathon in support of Young Carers.
The day saw them endure the same distance as the London Marathon, also taking place that day. They had almost 24 hours in which to complete the challenge at a location of their choosing.
After a grueling 26.2 miles they all completed the distance and earnt a well deserved sit down!
Each had set a fundraising target and all were smashed through their perseverance and kind support of friends, family and people they met along the route.
Martin and Terrianne donned fancy dress and took to their route dressed as poultry. All were wearing their purple Imago vests, kindly donated by Peach Branding.
Their total is still being updated, but it looks like the trio raised over £1,300!
Imago's CEO Caroline Shaw said:
Many CONGRATULATIONS to you all for completing the London Marathon.
What an unbelievable achievement!!
The money you have raised for Imago Young Carers will go a long way to supporting the young people through our services and completing something as challenging as the London Marathon to raise these funds is fantastic, so for that I thank you all very much!
It's not too late to pop in a last minute donation, as their pages are still open for a little longer.
Ellie, who worked with Young Carers in London said "The young people Imago support are so truly amazing, I'm inspired by each and every one of them. This is my way of giving a little something back to them all."
