Camino de Compostela

In aid of Imago, Shira and Simon are attempting to walk the 500 mile pilgrimage known as the Camino de France. This is a Medieval route starting at St. Jean Pied De Port (in France) and ending at Santiago De Compostela, in Galicia (Spain). They are going to be flying to France in October, starting at St. Jean Pied de Port in South West France, cross the border to Spain and walking all the way to Santiago De Compostela, the cathedral, in Santiago, Galicia, North West Spain.

The route is officially 800 km (there is a famous sign which shows 789 kms but in reality it is actually more). This is around 500 miles. The weather is expected to be very much like here, wet, windy, but also sunny from time to time.

Shira and Simon will be carrying all their gear on them ready for the mix of weather following the well-trodden route for the next 6-8 weeks.

All of us at Imago will be following your route and keeping fingers crossed the weather is kind and the blisters are few! Thank you, Shira, for all the funds you are raising through this amazing challenge!

"We are both raising funds for causes close to our hearts. I chose Imago as it is the charity I work for and I believe them to be a great cause." ~ Shira
